When you think about waffles, you automatically link it with ice cream. This is why the review for today is extremely interesting as it features the Chicken and Waffles from Revelry. Curious about how well chicken goes along with waffles? Read on as I review it for you.

Here is how the shop looks like:

On their menu, they have the normal combination of waffles & ice cream, as well as other unique items like Burffles (a mashup of burgers & waffles). They also offer coffee, beer, and cakes. You can help yourself to the free flow plain water and cutleries which are placed at the corner of the shop. After placing your order and paying at the counter, you will be given a number to take back to your seat as the waffles require some preparation time.

My order:

Chicken and Waffles $17.90

The dish arrived on the table with an overwhelming, mouth-watering aroma of fried chicken which made me look forward to it's taste even more. There is complementary maple syrup to go with the chicken, which I chose to just directly pour it over the chicken rather than dipping.

It may look simple on the outside, but the chicken and waffle went surprising well together! Look at how thick the chicken is! we expected the chicken to be a small and thin, but they really made sure that the chicken was tasty. The waffles were good even on its on. It was more of the crispy kind, but had a deeper taste than just plain flour like some others sold outside.

So...... YUM or MEH?

YUM!!! I were so overwhelmed by how good this weird combination went well together! On their own, the chicken was flavored well and the waffles was yummy enough to be eaten alone. Put these two delicious things together, and it tastes perfect. Although it is new to be putting these two together, I encourage all of ya'll to go ahead and try it out, you will be pleasantly surprised!
